Hello lovelies, and a warm welcome to the landing page for all things Impish Muse Author Services!I'm Nikki, an avid book lover from New Zealand. I am someone who suffers from chronic pain, and wanted to find my way to give back to an author community who has given me untold joy over the years. I want to help authors make their worlds come to life, and their dreams come true!My goal with Impish Muse author services is to provide adult romance writing Indie authors with affordable services to alleviate some of the stress of their careers.I read pretty much every genre within the realm of adult romance.My favorite genres are Omegaverse, Dark Romance and Contemporary/Dark Contemporary! Though I also love PNR/Fantasy, Taboo and honestly pretty much all genres, depending on where the TBR takes me!
Mission Statement
I know that indie authors have a heck of a lot on their plates. To me, authors should be able to focus on writing their beautiful books, making their worlds come to life and interacting with their adoring readers and fans, and let someone help with all the things that happen behind the scenes!I will always be someone who cheers on indie authors, and my passion for providing much needed services to authors has only increased my desire to see authors succeed, and reach their dreams.I am always expanding my skillset, upskilling and learning new things to be able to better assist authors with services that they may need, and will always be someone who wants to keep learning and evolving with the bookish world we are all a part of!At Impish Muse, I know that not all Authors' needs are the same. That's why I have created my services with the aim of being flexible to whatever it is that an author needs at any given time, and creating a custom package for services catered to each individual, on their budget!

My packages for PA Services are always custom.This list of services are the services that I am currently able to provide, though if there is something not on this list that you are in need of, don't be afraid to enquire.

Editing Services Offered
In a land of self published authors, I understand how important it is to get a set of eyes on your manuscript that you trust. Someone to help you make sure that the work that you poured your heart and soul into, is ready to see the world.With that in mind; I offer a range of services from blurb assistance, to all forms of editing.I will always endeavor to make my editing as affordable as possible, and I will always offer authors who have an interest in my services, the option to come up with a payment plan to suit their needs.At present, I only offer my editing services for adult & open door romance.
How I edit
When it comes to edits, I understand how important it is to understand the editor you're working with.My 'style' of editing is to be constructive, and also offer solutions to highlighted areas of improvement. I will always strive to be kind when delivering feedback, and do so in a manner that won't trigger that nasty imposter monster!Because I'm here to help, not to make things worse.

Do you want your previous works edited?Another set of eyes is never a bad idea! For back edits, I offer a service to help you make all of your works sparkle, even those already published. For previously published works, I will happily dive in, edit, or proof your work for half the rate of the above services.
